I have been inspired by the culture of Cuba since my first visit. I have found that art is an ever-present visual all over the island. Cubans have surrounded themselves with creativity born of "making do with what one has". Pride is a major theme I see throughout. With this book I want to show you the DOORS I shot while traveling through the beautiful western side of the island of Cuba.

Stacey Hawkins Adams is a writer of renown in Virginia. I was always impressed with her motivational phrases and she admired my photography. Over a lunch, we embarked on this journey together; her inspiration, my frame-able photographs.

I created a fabric printed with DOORS from my collections. This custom made tote is fully lined and has a pocket on the inside for easy phone access. The soft twill strap handles are 24" making them just right for shoulder or arm carrying.
